Growing Countries: Blend of various dried fruits and herbs from Canada, USA, Thailand and SpainIn British Columbia, on the west coast of Canada, lies a small Haida village at the end of a long fiord called Bella Coola. (The Haida people are the indigenous inhabitants of the area.) Bella Coola is truly a paradise. The water is crystal clear, the mountains rise to the sky from the water's edge, fishing boats head westward into the Pacific and bald eagles soar overhead, screaming at any who dare disrupt the natural tranquility. On a visit to to the village one bright, cloudless day, one the tea masters at The Metropolitan Tea Company found himself sitting on the town wharf contemplating life and eating, of all things, an orange popsicle that he'd purchased at a local store. From that moment on, when he remembered Bella Coola, he thought of the flavor of that popsicle. (It sounds crazy, but it's true!)After some time, he decided to recreate the taste of that experience in a herbal tea. The resulting blend combines orange, pineapple, and the natural flavors of various other fruits to create a herbal blend that clears the mind, helps contemplate the beauty of life and is absolutely delicious. This herbal tea is fabulous brewed hot and soothing, or over ice as a summertime treat. Regardless of how you drink it, the refreshing and thirst quenching character of Bella Coola is a tribute to this beautiful corner of Canada.P.S. Because it contains no caffeine, this herbal tea is also great as a kid's tea and it makes delicious popsicles!
